Rather than ask if ther are going to be any Battleship Galaxies expansions (which the answer is no but I’m sure you will receive the canned response of “I can’t comment on that at this time”), I’d love to see a question like:

“What do you think was the main reason Batleship Galaxies did not sell as well as you hoped?”

There’s a number of factors from using the Battleship branding for a hobby game that doesn’t have mass appeal, releasing the game only 2 months after it was even announced (no time to hype), or failure to market the game appropriately.

I was surprised to see that it came out in 2011 and there hasn’t been any more support for a genius gaming system with tons of expansion potential. This is the type of boardgame I expect to see in the year 2013. I’ve already bought 2 copies to ‘expand’ my fleets, but would love to see another box set with 2 new different fleets in another galaxy. ANYTHING would be awesome! Come on don’t let us down! You have a goldmine in that game.

Is there any word on Battle Cry expansions? The game designer Richard Borg hinted that there were some in the works. It would be great to play some official epic Battle Cry battles.

I think there are a lot of us that were hoping for expansion packs (star bases, mine layers, asteroid forts with weapons, etc.) and more scenarios. Now that the movie has been released (loved the new Battleship Movie edition by the way) it seems like a good time to offer expansions. Thanks for this great game. The comic book was just too cool! The game mechanics are a lot of fun. I think a lot of us just want MORE! ;^)
