The Long View

In this episode of The Long View, we delve into Mage Knight the Board Game. Can this game possibly be as good as all of the hype? Will it stand the test of time? To try to answer these questions and more, I am joined by Jesse Dean and Paul Grogan.

We examine the game in depth, and Paul shares news with us of an upcoming expansion for this fascinating, complex and thematic game. Thanks to 2d6.org for hosting, and thank you for listening!

This podcast keeps getting better and better. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite gaming podcasts. Thanks for taking a crack at Mage Knight. No easy feat there. I’ve recently purchased the game and am very much looking forward to digging into it.

Thanks to Chris and Randolph! I’m very glad you both enjoyed the episode. It was quite a lot of fun to record, and I’m old enough to still be amazed by the technology of being able to record an interview over the internet through Skype with one person from England, simultaneous with another in Florida, while I sit here in Pennsylvania at my kitchen table talking with them. How there is no sound delay in transmission, I still have no idea. Ghost in the machine. Maybe magic?

I digress…. Thanks again to you both for listening, and I hope you continue to find the show interesting. Be on the lookout for the next episode where we tackle A Few Acres of Snow.

Great Podcast! You have a great “radio” voice and a knack for interviewing! There’s a slight NPR-ish feel to how the show flows which I enjoyed greatly! Take that as you will but in any case, thanks for the great work!
