Hexica (Video Review)

Hexica is a 2-4 player capture the flag/fleet combat game set in space. At the start of each player’s turn, a flag spawns on a random spot. After three rounds, flags run out and players are forced into combat to steal each others flags. Aside from the specialized six ships that compose each fleet in the game, players also have access to twenty Advanced Systems cards. Each player starts with two of these cards and more can be purchased throughout the game. These cards temporarily affect four aspects of the game: the economy, movement, attack, and defense of each player’s fleet.

BATTLEFRONT MINIATURES TO TAKE OVER DISTRIBUTION OF DUST TACTICS

Dust Studio today announced that Battlefront Miniatures will become its publishing and distribution partner for the Dust Tactics and Dust Warfare miniatures game lines. Fantasy Flight Games, Dust Studio’s current publishing partner for those games, will transition sales and marketing activity to Battlefront Miniatures on June 1st, 2013.

Among the Stars (Video Review)

In Among the Stars, each player takes the role of one of those races, trying to build the best space station. Through a drafting mechanism, the players select location cards and place them on their station, scoring victory points based on where they place them. The construction lasts four years, and whoever has the most points at the end wins.

Relic ( VIdeo Review)

Relic is a board game in which two to four players each assume the role of a powerful hero from the Warhammer 40,000 universe and bravely venture forth to shield the Antian Sector from certain doom.
