Hi guys,

I just wanted to stop by and thank you for that excellent video podcast! I immensely enjoyed your first three episodes, and I watched them all end to end (although I knew all the games you discussed). In my opinion, this format is a great way to present game reviews, especially in comparison to the usual one- or two-person audio or video format we came to know up to now.

The way you're doing it, you're simply showing the sort of discussion that is happening in your average game group when the game's finished, and, while it is very natural to most of us, it's something single reviewers just can't reproduce convincingly. What I like most is the way the information comes across – it's all very structured, which is great and makes the reviews helpful, but you're still able to do this in a very informal, relaxed setting and it's easy to see that everybody has fun doing it.

So thanks again, and keep up the good work!

Jan

P.S.: Love the cat(s) ;-)

Just want to say you're all doing a great job on these reviews.  I especially like how you'll go back on a game you've played while doing the actual review.  I'd prefer seeing a game in action rather then just hearing or reading about how it went.  Well, keep the reviews coming.  You're all doing a hell of a job.  Laugh

Guys,

just wanted to tell you that I'm going to unsubscribe. Why? Because nothing from what I have described in my post above is still true – the format has changed (it's a head-in-the-window now, like everywhere else), the people have changed (no longer your average group of people discussing their experiences), even the type of games discussed has changed (wargames instead of standard boardgames). This is very unfortunate, since I loved the original idea of 2d6.org…

So good luck finding your new target group – sadly, I'm no longer in it.

Sorry to hear that Madster,

First of all we have just a small war anthology going on and we have other games coming ! We are just getting started and I hope your willing to give us a chance. The format is flexible because we lost the original cast and we simply can't offer something we don't have. We are playing around with what we are doing in the future, but plan to work hard to keep our readership.

Thanks for you input

P.s. We are working on bringing back the monthly give away as well. I have three cats as well and willing to work them in at some point too!

Hi Kwenzel!

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it! I understand that of course, you can't offer what you don't have, but I still hope that 2d6.org will still maintain some of the relaxed spirit it had with the original cast – even if you aren't able to continue this informal "group discussion" style that, at least in my eyes, set this site's reviews apart from everybody else.

So, I'll keep my subscription for now and look forward to your non-wargame posts to see where you're going :-)

Cheers,

Jan

Jan,

We are having are first meeting this weekend. I am throwing out the possibility for one review a month maybe as a group discussion as a kind of homage to the old style. It is just hard getting us all in the same room.
