Hey All,

  I play Carc and Settlers a lot FTF, but I play a lot more Carc at Asobrain.com.  I play settlers there also but have found the people who play Carc to usually be nice people, not so much for Settlers, I have had people call me idiot and moron a few times, and when you say

Hey,gl,hf     the Carc people will repond almost all the time, the settlers people less then half – I just wonder if other people have had the same experience?

  So what game has the nicest players?  I know at GenCon for the Heroscape crowd it is crazy nice people, I have been blown away with what a good crowd of people you get ( in the nat. championship finals – hey I forgot to kill one of your guys on my turn, can I still kill him even though it is your turn  – sure no problem was the answer — in the finals no less, great people )

I've only played games with friends and family, so I can't speak for the con scene. But remember that there's a lot more player-to-player interaction in Settlers than Carc. In Carc, really the only way to 'attack' another player is to sneak in an extra farmer or city dweller, or to add a city tile to their cities in the end game so they can't finish. Settlers has a lot more ways you can shut down another player (robber placement, cutting them off with road, trade 'sanctions', and the Monopoly card).

So it's likely jerks play both Settlers and Carc; you just don't see their behaviour in Carc.

Hey j – I know what you mean, but in Carc it can be very brutal also, when you have just traped the other guys 4 or 5th meeple trust me they are not happy at all!
